Walking into the restaurant, you’ll immediately feel at home. The vibe is casual yet welcoming, with modern décor that doesn’t stray too far from that warm, diner-like charm. The interior has a laid-back feel, perfect for enjoying a meal on your own or with friends. The staff is friendly and always happy to recommend their favorite dishes if you're undecided.

When it comes to the menu, Laksamania truly stands out. While the diner specializes in a variety of dishes, it's their creative spins on classic comfort food that have earned them a loyal following. For instance, the Laksamania burger is a fan favorite, offering a juicy, perfectly seasoned patty served with fresh toppings and their signature sauce. It’s the kind of burger that satisfies on a whole new level.

For those with a lighter appetite or simply craving something different, the menu also features a range of vibrant salads, soups, and smaller plates. A standout is the grilled vegetable platter, which combines a variety of seasonal veggies, all chargrilled to perfection and served with a tangy dressing that makes each bite feel like a refreshing burst of flavor. If you're in the mood for something indulgent, the mac and cheese is a crowd-pleaser-creamy, cheesy, and absolutely comforting.

Laksamania isn't just about the food, though; it's about the experience. The service here feels personal and genuine. • First time dining here and the experience was amazing. Delicious food, nice ambience, accommodating staff, especially the Chef who we spoke with and suggested to have the Nasi Lemak. Will definitely come back!

  • I came here for my birthday and was a little disappointed as I had hoped that I would be sat in the main restaurant, which is downstairs, but they put me upstairs. It's still nice but doesn't feel like eating out so much and more like in a cafe kinda vibe. I know I am a table of one, but that doesn't mean I should miss out on the whole experience. I had the beef belly Laksa, which was really good. Be minded if you don't like fatty meat though, as this has fatty cuts (which I love!). Flavours were good and the serving is huge. I couldn't finish all of it! It would be good if I could have got it to take away. The beef chunks were huge and there were lots of noodles. The lamb satay skewers were wonderful. Full of flavour. The service was great, the man serving me was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely visit again.

  • Laksa is spicy but the soup base is fine. Deep fried squid is delicious. Service ok

  • Really authentic laksa. The chicken bao was pretty good as well. Edit: Been here on 4 different occasions now. The laksas are consistently good. Got to try their rojak (usually pre order) and it was very much something you would find in Malaysia. Their Char Kuey Teow and Wat Tan Hor are definitely something to try a few visits in. Highly recommend to any Malaysians wanting a taste of home

  • My family and I had a wonderful time at Laksamania! We’re always on the hunt for a good, authentic, Penang assam laksa and this did not disappoint! My partner opted for the Nasi Lemak special (as recommended by the chef and. pictured below) and it was fantastic! I had the soft shell crab laksa and again - so tasty! One of the best soft shell crab dishes I’ve had for a while. The service was also lovely - everyone so helpful and friendly. Very much recommended it here and we’ll be back again!

  • We popped in for an early soho dinner on a Tuesday evening, following an afternoon of shopping. We got there at 6pm and got a table without having a booking. As it was our first time, I really appreciated the friendly waitress who helped us pick dishes to try. I ordered the London Laksa, which is a curry based soup dish, and I was told it was the least spicy option. We also ordered a Chicken Lo Mein. They were both made to order, well presented and flavourful. We also ordered the Malaysian Satay Lamb as starter, which is their house speciality. I have never seen satay lamb on the menu elsewhere so we wanted to try, this was also very tasty. By the time we finished our meal the place was full upstairs. The toilets are upstairs at the back as you go past the bar, they also have seating downstairs. Overall a very good dinner option in soho if you like authentic Asian/Malaysian food. In fact I have recommended the place to friends who have already been and we are planning on coming back too.

  • We ventured to Laksamania for an unplanned lunch as we were in the area. We were seated quickly without reservation and ask to take a look at the special menu that was offer. After browsing through the excellent choice of dishes on the menu we decided to go for a starter of battered squid and two of the specials that were on offer and one dish from the menu. All dishes came out in good time and the service was A+, to a point of how to really enjoy the samba with the Laksa and sweet chills with the noodle dishes. The satay was very tasty and had that the authentic taste associated with satay in KL or in Singapore!! excellent. This isn't the first time are Laksamania and we have been countless times before, it is worthy of a review and to bring more people to this establishment to try out there dishes. Given that we have tried a few Malaysia restaurants and eateries around central London, this is properly one the best one around from a food and service perspective. The service was attentive and engaging so thumbs up! The laska we had was white Penang laska and that very tasty and there was plenty of seafood, tofu as the broth with Samba was excellent. The Wat Dah Hall, was also very good and healthy portion, along with a sweet chills, made for a great dish for Autumn. If you are in the area and want to try and excellent Malaysia and Asia food that is affordable and not a eatry anywhere close to China town, than a short walk from Tottenham court road and you will be arrive at Laksamania, please give them a try you won't be disappointed.
